Are you searching for arts boarding school? Here we have one in Natick, Massachussets, USA. Walnut Hill School for the Arts is a co-euducational boarding school. Our students enjoy a unique advantage: they can pursue their academic and artistic studies on a single campus, taught by faculty who respect and accommodate the demands placed on each student. The members of the academic faculty at Walnut Hill have chosen specifically to teach talented young artists, and prioritize hands-on, project-based learning. The arts program at Walnut Hill School for the Arts provides students with an intensive, pre-professional training from world-renowned faculty who understand and encourage a young artist’s drive for excellence. All students major in one of five arts – creative writing, dance, music, theater, or visual art. Within each arts major, students participate in a varied curriculum that will best prepare them for placement within a conservatory or liberal arts college, as well as a professional career.
Students participate in arts classes, rehearsals, and lessons starting in the afternoon and going into the early evening Monday through Friday and, depending on the arts major, on the weekend. Across the arts programs, class time has been adequately allocated to not only best fit into a student’s schedule, but also to develop a broad depth of understanding—a ballet class or a theater rehearsal cannot be effective in a traditional 50-minute class period. Walnut Hill School for the Arts also offer numerous opportunities to perform, exhibit, and experience art throughout the school year, both on and off campus. Athletics: Athletics

All students commit to a full-time, college-preparatory curriculum in addition to studies in their elected arts concentration. The School embraces the Nexus program, which allows for depth of study and authentic learning experiences, as well as providing a humane pace to the day for our busy students. The typical academic course load is two to three academic courses per semester, totaling four to six courses each year. The school buildings, including dormitories, are closed for Thanksgiving Break (one week in November), Winter Break (two weeks in December), and Spring Break (two weeks in March). During the breaks, all boarding students must return home or visit relatives and friends. For international students who need assistance finding accommodations during the breaks, the Student Life Office will help arrange homestays in the local area. Additional costs may be associated with homestays.
