This Christin boarding school offers over 50 activities from photography, astronomy and fencing, to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The Combined Cadet Force is compulsory in Year 10, with the option to join either the army or RAF section. Many opt to continue as cadets in the senior years.

About the school
The School was founded in 1842 by Fr Randall Lythgoe, who was the Provincial Superior of the Society of Jesus.
This boarding school has excellent facilities and has made considerable investment to meet the demands and challenges of the future. Facilities include an all-weather athletics track, a multi gym and fitness suite, music school and refurbished theatre, along with a new Art and Design Centre, music studio, chaplaincy and Sixth Form Centre. The school is set in around 250 acres of beautiful English countryside and our grounds include a large number of rugby and football pitches along with field events and a newly laid cricket wicket.

Academic life
GCSE
The usual, standard programme of educational curriculum is about students taking courses and choosing subjects which lead towards the GCSE examination entry in ten subjects. All students of this Christian boarding school need to follow courses in the obligatory and fundamental subjects such as: English, Mathematics and Religious Studies.
Sixth Form, A level Boarding School
Sixth Form is the next, as well as the last and the most important part of students education before entering colleges and universities. Students working at A Level standard will face new challenges and receive all the necessary stimulation to become ready for the realities of higher education. Sport and culture
On campus we have an Olympic-standard athletics track, numerous rugby pitches, an all-weather astro-turf, a fencing salle, cricket wickets, as well as netball courts and hockey astro. Rugby, Hockey, Athletics, Cricket, Swimming and Netball are just some of the sports played competitively and we are also one of the few independent schools to have offer football in its sports programme. We cover many more sports in our P.E. sessions, such as Tennis, Basketball, Badminton and Fencing.
