Introduction

King’s College is an independent coeducational secondary day and boarding school in Taunton, Somerset, England. A member school of the Woodard Corporation, it has approximately 450 pupils aged 13 to 18, including about 300 boarders. Its affiliated prep boarding school is King’s Hall School.

This famous Somerset boarding school in follows a traditional curriculum, with challenging academic subjects prefared by universities, taught by teachers chosen for their deep knowledge of the subject and their infectious enthusiasm. 98% of pupils go on to University, many to Oxford, Cambridge and other international universities

1 June 2017, Pupils Excel in BTEC Sport. The first BTEC Sport course at King’s has been a huge success and all 12 students have achieved the grades needed to gain places at university.

The BTEC Sport course at King’s includes a wide range of both academic and vocational units including anatomy and physiology, sport psychology, sport massage, nutrition and coaching, plus many more. With such a wide spectrum of units, each student is able to find a passion within the sports world that could provide them with a pathway into employment or onto university as evidenced from some of the leaving Upper Sixth students
