Introduction

Albemarle Independent College is located in the heart of London.
Albemarle is achieving outstanding A-level results, and also has an excellent record for placing students at the top UK universities.
Students are selected for scholarship places at Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Warwick, Imperial and Nottingham Universities by the Co-Principals: James Eytle and Beverley Mellon. Many students are granted full or partial scholarships, on a variety of degree programmes including Economics, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Accountancy, Mathematics and Medical Sciences.
Medical Sciences Programme – for students wishing to apply for medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.
Architecture & Art Foundation – for students wishing to do degrees in Architecture, Art & Design, Product Design and Photography
Oxbridge Preparation – for students applying to colleges of the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
Critical Thinking – for students applying to degree courses where aptitude tests are used in the selection process.

About the school

Accommodation
Overseas students joining Albemarle have the choice of either staying with a host family or at one of our affiliated hostels close to the college.

Hostels are well equipped with modern facilities and students have the choice of either sharing a double room or staying in a single room. All hostels are located in safe areas in central London. Living with a host family does provide the opportunity for students to improve their English and learn more about British culture. To ensure standards are maintained, all accommodation is regularly inspected by the college.
