About the school

140 boys and girls accomodated in four boarding houses. All students live in comfortable, modern boarding houses and are cared for by dedicated house staff. Each boarding house has a Housemaster or Housemistress, Matron and academic tutors who will keep in regular contact with pupils and their parents. In such a caring, communal setting, every pupil truly matters and we strive to ensure the happiness of all the pupils in our care. For added reassurance, the School has a Health Centre with 24 hour cover and regular visits from the school doctor.

A dedicated member of staff leads the group as a tutor and is the first point of contact for any academic or pastoral queries. They will also take the group to local activities and to experience cultural events.

  • Good telephone and wireless internet access throughout the campus make it easy for students to keep in touch with home although wireless is turned off at night to enable sleep.
  • Bedrooms are single or shared study bedrooms and are comfortable and well equipped.
  • The food is superb, with all pupils having three hot meals a day. There is a choice of many main dishes with an additional salad bar, as well as fresh vegetables, fruit and desserts. There is plenty of choice so all diets and cultures are catered for and all pupils at Wellington School eat together in the dining hall.
