Introduction
Stanborough Secondary school is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils from the ages of 11 to 18, managed by the Seventh- day Adventist church.
Stanborough School fosters an atmosphere of community and family, catering for pupils from Year 7 to Year 11. Currently, they have student body of just under 200 pupils. As a result of this they are able to keep class sizes between 15 and 20 students, which allows each pupil to receive individual attention and to develop self-confidence. It is a very international school with an enrolment representing 40 different nationalities. This provides each pupil with opportunity to learn about different cultures.

About the school
Stanborough School was founded in 1919. It is one of over 7,000 educational establishments operated by Adventists worldwide. Adventist Education exists to fulfil human potential in the lives of students and their families.
The school was founded in 1919 and the current complex, including boarding accommodation, was completed in 1991. It occupies a 40-acre site in Garston, just outside of Watford. On the same site is the International Stanborough School. Pupils from both schools share boarding accommodation.
All boarding rooms offer en-suite facilities and wireless internet connection. The Science Department has three modern laboratories. There are purpose-built Technology Centres for Computing and Domestic Science. The facilities for sport and leisure are modern and spacious. There are twenty acres of playing fields, a modern sports hall and a games room.
Comfortable living space is offered in each of the 34 bedrooms. Boarders are accommodated in double or triple rooms each offering built-in wardrobes, desks and en-suite facilities. Many of the rooms offer woodland views over Stanborough Park. Girls and boys have separate floor corridors and junior and senior students are preferably accommodated in separate rooms to allow a better studying environment
The boarding school offers three lounges where students can spend their free time studying or socializing. There is an entertainment lounge, equipped with DVD/projector facilities with surround-sound. A study lounge with internet-equipped computer stations and a round table for group study. And a mini-kitchen equipped with a hotplate, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, fridge and lockers to store food in.

Other than local shops the boarding school sometimes has a tuck shop running for students to purchase snacks and drinks after school. Students have access to telephones and internet (both in the study lounge & via wifi on private laptops) so they can easily communicate with their parents and friends.

Stanborough’s 40 acres of fields and a well-equipped gymnasium, allow students to play a variety of sports, such as: Cricket, Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Netball, Gymnastics, Badminton, Basketball
Boarders enjoy regular sporting activities in the School’s gym and grounds and in the nearby Leisure Centre.
Music is an integral part of extra-curricular programme because it provides enjoyable and meaningful opportunities for students to hone their God-given talents while acquiring the knowledge and skills that will empower them to become resilient, tenacious, creative citizens of our global village.

Summer course
Session 1: Sunday 15th to Friday 27th July 2018
Stanborough English Summer Camp gives young people from all over the world the opportunity to improve their English language proficiency while having lots of fun.
Students aged 11-17 can attend the camps regardless of their initial English language level, because qualified teachers provide the necessary support at every stage following an exclusive programme designed to develop the four language skills (reading, writing, listening & speaking) in an interactive manner.
Boys and girls are accommodated on different floors of the boarding school. Comfortable living space is offered in each of the 34 bedrooms. Campers are accommodated with other campers in rooms that offer built-in wardrobes, desks and en-suite facilities. Many of the rooms offer woodland views over Stanborough Park.
Activities: Interactive Language, Sports and Music classes, Basketball, Tennis, Football, Hockey, Archery, Swimming, Quads, Survival Course, visits to London, Cambridge, Thorpe Park and other places of interest.
Our prices include all: airport transfers (to and from Heathrow and Luton airports), transportation while in the UK, accommodation and full board*, admission to all places of interest scheduled, workshops and afternoon activities, as well as tuition and exam fees.
