Welcome to Slindon College
Slindon College offers an educational experience for pupils who may struggle to fulfil their potential in independent and mainstream schools. Current parents will tell you that they chose Slindon College for their child, because the children here are all cheerful, enthusiastic and respectful. They might add that the College provides exceptional teaching, small classes, outstanding personal development and suitable academic challenges that are tailored to the individual.
Our small size, strong pastoral care and great partnership with parents enable us to understand our pupils’ strengths and provide what they need to enjoy and achieve.
As a Headteacher, I believe passionately in the importance of the individual and removing learning barriers. Every child at Slindon College is valued for who they are, each child is encouraged to develop their talents and the College supports them to achieve their personal best. As our pupils will tell you, in our community, “we are all the same because we are all different”. I am very proud of Slindon College and it is a great privilege to nurture our pupils and lead such an outstanding team. We would love to show you around so you can experience the special atmosphere at Slindon College for yourself.

Slindon College has a range of facilities and resources available for pupils. The
College is committed to continually updating and improving the facilities for the
benefit of pupils, staff and the wider community.
Our range of sporting facilities includes sports halls, a swimming pool, multi-use
games area and playing fields where pupils can enjoy rugby, football, cricket and
softball among other activities. For the creatives, we offer a Trinity Arts programme,
textile studies, graphics, photography, creative writing, drama and cookery.
We cater for outdoor enthusiasts with mountain biking, orienteering, Greenpower
electric car racing (national competition), Forest School, our school farm and
horticulture.
The Farm is the home to our two Donkeys and two Alpacas and provides growing
beds and composting facilities for a real field to fork experience delivered by way of
Land Based Studies and Food Tech.
The College developed the house's ornamental garden into a Sensory Garden to
give pupils access to a fun educational resource allowing them to explore their
senses and nature through sound, smell, texture, sight etc as well as being a
calming place to relax and unwind.
The 14 acre National Trust grounds feature woodland which is home to our Forest
School and our recently developed Slindon Bike Hub Mountain Bike Track. The track
offers three levels of competency following the MIAS Gear Awards qualification
framework supervised by our qualified mountain bike instructor. The house's original
Dairy is now the Adventurous Activity Centre that Sixth Formers use to explore
entrepreneurial skills.
The College is located on the National Trust Slindon Estate in the heart of the South
Downs National Park. The setting provides a fine environment in which to live and to
learn daily. We use our fantastic setting including secure green fields and woodland
for teaching, break times and a variety of sporting and Enrichment Activities.
