Situated in 57 acres of grounds overlooking the World Heritage City of Bath. This Christian boarding school offers stimulating educational opportunities (which are qualified as both curricular and extra-curricular) for students who can become members of vibrant and colourful community. The Sixth Form educational curriculum are the leading elements of this top UK boarding school and the staff understands how important it is to prepare students for the future life. Younger students are prepared for the Sixth Form year and are now grown and matured young adults. We provide support and encourage our students to be self-motivated and have clear goals. Pupils take care of their independent learning their additional achievements. The central school library, the ICT Centre, the Academy Hall, Sixth Form Centre and Houses offer attractive study environment.

Academic life
Students, on average, study ten GCSEs. There are a number of core GCSE subjects: English Language, English Literature or English as an Additional Language, Mathematics, Dual Award Science (covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics equally) and Religious Studies. Study of these subjects are compulsory for everyone.
Students are then able to choose four optional subjects from: Art, Business, Classical Studies, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama, French, Geography, History, Latin, Mandarin, Music, Physical Education, Separate Sciences (3 GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Spanish and Textiles.
In the Sixth Form, the majority of our students take three A Level subjects with the most able choosing a fourth and many choosing to study for the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Our EPQ results are outstanding with over two thirds of our students gaining an A or A*.
BTECs provides a valuable and well respected alternative pathway to university or employment. The practical nature of the BTEC Business course allows students to engage in physical activities, manage and run events and lead and work as members of a variety of teams. This should open up a wide range of possibilities for students in the world of work, enterprise, further and higher education.
Sport and culture
Our outstanding onsite facilities include a state-of-the-art Sports Centre complete with impressive fitness suite, indoor swimming pool, all-weather pitch, rugby and cricket pitches, indoor and outdoor tennis and netball courts.Our specialised coaches, which include ex-internationals in both hockey and rugby, encourage our pupils to achieve the highest standards regardless of ability. We put together as many teams as possible so that everyone has an opportunity to compete for their school, however we also recognise that sport is 'not for everyone’ and ensure that other options are available for those pupils too.
The College has pupils that compete at county, regional and international level. For these elite sportsmen and women in particular, our close proximity to Bath University is a tremendous bonus, with students regularly using training facilities and coaching there.
Prior Park has a year round tennis programme. For elite tennis players – we work in partnership with the TeamBath Tennis Academy who coach some of the top juniors in the country. Prior Park supports these students in pursuit of their goals and works with them individually to accommodate their sporting schedules, whilst making sure the demands of school life are also met.
