One of best boarding schools in England! Leys School in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire offers aco-educational boarding education for boys and girls. The Leys curriculum is not just about preparation for exams. The School’s Christian ethos lies at the heart of our education philosophy. The social, intellectual, spiritual and emotional needs of the pupils drive our educational agenda.
The curriculum of this top UK boarding school is broad in the first years and aims to encourage a range of interests. The core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Divinity, IT and Foreign Languages feature strongly, while we expect pupils to expand their horizons through the Humanities, Drama, Art, Design, Music and Sport. At GCSE and A level, a degree of specialisation develops, yet many prefer to keep their options open and combine a variety of subjects in the Arts and Sciences.
The challenge of this Cambridge boarding school is to prepare pupils for the next stage of their education and our commitment is to excellence, depth and breadth at every level of the curriculum. Care for the individual remains our guiding principle, with Housemasters/Housemistresses and pupils’ personal Tutors on hand to provide support and direction where needed. Regular reports, Parents’ Evenings and half-termly assessments ensure that parents are fully informed and involved as partners in this process.
