Introduction
Hereford Cathedral School is a selective, independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 3 to 18. The school aims to provide an education within a supportive, tolerant and structured environment, which offers each pupil an opportunity to develop every aspect of his or her potential. The senior school consists of 493 pupils of which 163 pupils are in Years 12 and 13.
Hereford Cathedral School is one of the oldest schools in the country, located in the beautiful surroundings of a Cathedral Close. A happy, inclusive school with a national reputation for music, sport, and academic achievement, we offer pupils a personalised education helping individuals to set their sights high and feel valued for who they are. Aside from stretching and challenging all pupils, both in and out of the classroom, our prime aim is to develop character: helping pupils to become fulfilled and valued citizens, who will make a positive impact on those around them.

About the school
Pupils boarding at Hereford Cathedral School will enjoy being part of a boarding house with a warm, family atmosphere where we’ll ensure they feel safe and well looked after throughout their time with us.
The boarding house is situated near to Hereford city in a beautiful Georgian building, built around 1720. The newly acquired and fully refurbished property will offer pupils the perfect combination of a historic English setting with modern amenities. The house will be superbly equipped with a large common room, dining room, kitchen areas for making snacks and WiFi access throughout. The extensive grounds will be ideal for group activities and for pupils to relax and explore.
