The Godolphin School is an independent boarding school for girls at Salisbury in Wiltshire, England, founded in 1726. The school educates about 500 girls between the ages of eleven and eighteen. Godolphin School is one of the oldest girls’ boarding schools in the country, being founded in 1726 by Lady Elizabeth Godolphin.
This top independent school for girls has become recognised as a centre of excellence with national success in music, sport and art and we are extremely proud of our rich heritage. For almost three centuries the School has been educating generations of girls and striving to equip them with the intellectual, spiritual, moral and physical credentials to lead meaningful and purposeful lives.
As well as achieving optimum academic results we believe it is our duty to be facilitating the development of confident, aware, well informed independent young women with a sense of adventure and real zest for life. We achieve this through excellent teaching, exceptional pastoral care and a comprehensive programme of co-curricular initiatives.

Sixth Form
From September 2017, we will offer an extensive range of A-level, BTEC and Pre-U courses and the expertise to help students choose the right combination of subjects, either to equip them for a particular degree course or to give them the greatest number of future options. We select the best type of qualification for our students and do not limit them to purely A-levels; from September 2017 we will offer BTECs in Performing Arts and Food and Nutrition and the Pre-U in History of Art. Godolphin Sixth Form students are given an impressive choice of subjects. Most students study three subjects in the Upper Sixth with an additional fourth subject in the Lower Sixth. Some students also study for an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). We have the expertise and specialist knowledge to provide the necessary guidance and advice to help you make the right subject choices in the Sixth Form. The Sixth Form teaching groups are kept small to allow for considerable individual guidance and support, and to enable you to work closely with your subject teachers. Together with your Personal Tutor and the Head of Sixth Form, they monitor your progress to help you to work to achieve your best.
