Glenalmond College (formerly Trinity College, Glenalmond) is a co-educational independent boarding school in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, for children aged between 12 and 18 years. Academic results are strong particularly in sciences, maths, art, music and languages. There are numerous opportunities in sport and other outdoor activities, as well as many musical, theatrical and artistic groups. Glenalmond College is a true boarding school. 80% of pupils are boarders, placing it in the top few schools in the UK. Glenalmond is a full boarding school with a seven day programme to educate, inspire and stretch young minds. The busy weekday schedule stretches over weekends that sees pupils busy in the classroom, on the playing fields and out on trips on Saturday and Sunday. There is also a full calendar of social events throughout the year.

Glenalmond is one of Scotland’s top boarding and day schools, situated in 300 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside. It is situated on the River Almond near the village of Methven, about 8 miles (13 km) west of the city of Perth.
The boarding houses are at the heart of school life for both day and boarding pupils, and excellent pastoral care underpins all that we do. Chapel provides the spiritual focus for our pupils, while their physical wellbeing is aided by our on-site medical centre and our healthy eating programme. As many of our pupils are boarders, the social life of the school is important, and the weekends are generally as busy as weekdays.
There are eight boarding houses – five for boys and three for girls, all within the 330 acre Glenalmond campus. Boarding at Glenalmond allows pupils to benefit from all that the school has to offer, with the companionship and life skills that come from living with others. Of course, day pupils are part of, and share in, all the richness and diversity of experience only available in a full boarding school. In September 2017, we opened a new girls boarding house, Goodacre’s, and a Junior House for Second and Third Form boys at Cairnies.
The academic focus of the school is clear. All pupils study for GCSEs and A levels or Highers, with a curriculum spanning 25 subjects in the Sixth Form offering an excellent basis for entry to university and higher education.

The Music Department underpins its varied and lively programme of practical music-making with firm academic foundations. Pupils are offered a wide-ranging foundation course in the Second and Third Forms, centred on work which is developed at GCSE level, should this be an option.
Glenalmond’s music department resides in building designed by Basil Spence and is situated at the heart of the College. It is home to a beautiful, wood-floored Recital Hall, the offices of the three full time music staff, the Music School Administrator and seven teaching/practice rooms. There are also two teaching classrooms, one laid out with desks, high definition blu-ray, large flat screen monitor and full surround sound, and the other a dedicated Music Technology teaching classroom, with an adjacent soundproofed live room.
Music: Chamber Groups, Ensembles, Choir, Instrumental and Singing Lessons, Music Scholarships
The drama department puts on as much theatre as possible. There is one School Play for the Upper School to audition for each year, and one for the Junior School.
