The honour, was formally announced on Sunday in Parent Power, The Sunday Times Schools Guide on November 25, follows The Sunday Times’ designation of York as Best Place to Live 2018 in March of this year, making St Peter’s officially the best school in the best UK city.
The day and boarding school for girls and boys aged 3-18, rated ‘Excellent’ in all areas by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in its last inspection, was selected by judges from the publication after celebrating another year of excellent results at GCSE and Sixth Form examinations this summer.
