Repton School in Derby, Derbyshire s a UK boarding school. One of co-educational boarding schools for boys and girls! Academic work is at the heart of what we do at Repton School. Our aim is to allow each pupil to develop his or her potential to the maximum. This means setting the highest academic expectations for each Reptonian, and then developing the systems to monitor and support each pupil’s individual progress. We believe that this allows pupils to achieve more than they could have imagined.
Reptonians continue to achieve consistent academic success, and we were once again delighted with the results achieved in external examinations by our pupils in 2012.
The 2012 A Level results achieved by our Upper Sixth pupils were excellent: 18% of entries were graded A*, 60% achieved an A* or A grade and a record 88% of entries were graded A*, A or B. These results should be viewed alongside the outstanding results in Summer 2011 where more than a quarter of entries (28%) achieved an A* grade, almost two-thirds of entries (65%) achieved either an A* or an A grade and 84% were graded A*, A or B. This reflects the consistency in high standards that is the hallmark of the very best schools.
The 2012 GCSE results achieved by our O-Block (Year 11) pupils were excellent: a record 69% of entries achieved A*A and 36% of entries were awarded an A*.
These headline figures show that Repton continues to achieve first class results throughout the pupil body, and across the wide range of subjects studied.
