Kingsley School’s Prep Boarding School

Kingsley School’s Prep Boarding School provides a safe and stimulating environment in which children feel happy and secure. With praise, encouragement and support, we help every child to develop a positive sense of themselves and of their class mates.

A wide range of activities helps children develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. As the children develop, we foster their skills in language, reading and number work. Dance, music, art, cooking, swimming and physical education are also included in our weekly timetable.

Senior Boarding School

On the academic front, a wide range of GCSE subjects is taught at this excellent boarding school by dedicated, specialist staff at with results that, year after year, meet and often exceed pupils’ most optimistic expectations. Outside the classroom, whether it’s representing the school at sport, acting, singing, making music or art, our students find themselves beating their “personal best” again and again. They throw themselves into our eclectic range of extra-curricular activities too, including surfing and the ever-popular Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme.

The Sixth Form Boarding School

The years which students spend in the Sixth Form Boarding School are a vital, transitional period in their lives as they move towards adulthood and independent living and learning. At this boarding school is offer a supportive and caring environment which strives to find a balance between allowing students more freedom whilst at the same time providing necessary limitations and restraints. Students are empowered to make their own decisions and, at times, their own mistakes, within a secure framework. Alongside their academic studies students are offered a multitude of extra curricular and leadership opportunities and a tutorial programme designed to guide them as they make plans for the future.

 1. Belvoir House, just a short walk from the main school building, is the girls’ boarding house and is surrounded by sports fields, with views over the woods. 

Carisbrooke and Longfield are home to the boys and are located beside each other.

2. Carisbrooke is the junior boys house.

3. Longfield is the senior boys’ house.
