ISSOS International Summer School was created with one clear mission in mind: To create a safe place for people to learn and grow. ISSOS International Summer School offers 13 to 18 year old from all over the world the chance to combine academia, fun and cultural enrichment in the world class universities of St Andrews, Cambridge & Yale.
The locations of summer schools have been carefully chosen for their safe, stimulating and inspirational campuses. The historic and cultural locations of Cambridge, St Andrews and Yale allow students to experience life at these elxclusive universities, within a secure environment.

ISSOS provides a well balanced, supervised summer program where students from all over the world come together and choose academic and elective classes to suit their needs and interests. They offer students the opportunity to have the summer adventure of a lifetime where the focus is on personal safety and wellbeing, quality individual instruction and a unique international experience.
In 2005, ISSOS International Summer School was established by Jen Munro, a St Andrews University Graduate, who after working as a summer camp counselor in the USA, realised she wanted to provide students from all over the world, with a balanced summer program.
2006 - ISSOS, International Summer School, St Andrews
St Andrews was the obvious choice for the first summer school due to its safe location and historical setting. The first session of ISSOS International Summer school took place in 2006, with 50 students.
2011 - ISSOS International Summer School, Cambridge
In 2011, with growing demand for the format of summer program, the international mix of students and the selection of academics and electives offered, ISSOS Summer School Cambridge was launched at Queens' College at Cambridge University. ISSOS International Summer School established two amazing UK based homes in St Andrews and Cambridge universities, both chosen due to their safe location and world renowned reputations.
2016 - ISSOS International Summer School at Yale
In 2016 ISSOS International Summer School launched their third campus at Yale University in the USA. Having spent time talking with students and parents who wanted to experince and American University and who constantly requested that there was an ISSOS International Summer school in the USA decided to look for a safe, historic, world renowned location and we found it at Yale University.
ISSOS International Summer School has grown signicantly since 2005, attracting students from over 70 nationalities to each session and catering to over 600 students.

Queens College at Cambridge
This summer school programs are designed to cater specifically to the needs of international students. Classes meet daily for three hours and unlike other summer schools, they offer limited places in order to guarantee that all our students will benefit from small class sizes and individual attention. Academic Options: English Language, Debate, Pre-IB, Business & Entrepreneurship, Journalism
Each student combines his or her academic summer school program option with one of our unique, in-depth elective summer school courses, which are timetabled four afternoons per week. These fun-filled and action-packed courses enable students to discover and participate in exciting subjects while gaining new skills. Elective Options: Outdoor Leadership, Theatre, Photography, Fencing, Tennis
In addition to exceptional academic summer school programs and exciting afternoon elective courses, students will also benefit from a broad ranging and all-inclusive summer school activities program and will enjoy cultural trips, allowing them to get to know the surrounding area.

Mornings are dedicated to academic study, where students choose one of our high quality academics to follow for the three weeks. Classes meet daily for three hours and we limit numbers in order to guarantee students benefit from individual attention.
ACADEMIC OPTIONS: Creative Writing, Debate, English Language, Pre-IB, IB Extended Essay, Youth Leadership
Afternoons allow students to broaden their experience and knowledge. Each students is able to combine their academic option with one of our unique, in-depth electives. Timetables four afternoons per week, students can participate in exciting subjects while gaining new skills.

ISSOS St Andrews is based in the extensive and beautiful grounds of The University of St Andrews. Students will be housed in the stunning halls of residence, which provide a comfortable and safe home for the duration of the three-week summer school program. With its oak-panelled common rooms, expansive dinning areas, beautiful libraries and private garden, these halls of residence have been home to many famous scholars.
The classrooms are a stones throw from the halls of residence and all activities and are held close by. The halls of residence are situated in the centre of St Andrews and were built in 1930 and are some of St Andrews University's most prestigious accommodation.

Students will stay in a traditional Yale University College that is centrally located so students can enjoy the stunning architecture as well as a number of lawns where they can relax, read a book or play sports.
