Frewen College is an independent specialist school in East Sussex for boys and girls aged 7 to 19 years with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia, and Speech, Language and Communication needs.
Boarding is fully flexible, and the school makes no additional charge for weekend boarding. About half boarders usually stay at the weekends.
Frewen College accepts boarders from age 9.
The main aim of Frewen College is that each child in our school will be:

- Generous in spirit, kind to others and aware of others’ feelings.
There are ca. 110 pupils on roll. The great majority of pupils have Specific Learning Difficulties, their primary needs are Dyslexia and/ or Dyspraxia, together with some Dyscalculia.
This boarding school for Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia, and Speech, Language and Communication needs is accredited by the ISA, registered by the DCSF, BSA and CReSTeD, and a supporting corporate member of the BDA. Average class size 6 pupils with on-site therapists. Forces and Expat children welcomed.
Pupils in Key Stage 3 follow a traditional curriculum, based on the National Curriculum, with additional English and Literacy, and, where required, additional support and therapy.
At Key Stage 4, pupils study English, Maths, Science, plus four option subjects. Pupils may take GCSEs, Entry Level, vocational subjects, or a mixture of these depending on their ability in individual subjects. They also follow a programme of PSHE, Games, and Literacy sessions.
