Do you want to find the best boarding school in UK? You are in the right place. d'Overbroeck's College in Oxford, Oxfordshire offer a great high school international boarding option. Leckford Place offers a full and broad curriculum with a strong academic core. Although based on the National Curriculum, we tailor our offering to the needs of our pupils – so go significantly beyond national standards. The curriculum of this top UK international boarding school covers the full range of subjects in the sciences, humanities, arts and modern languages – and includes music, drama and sport, both as curriculum subjects and as extracurricular activities.
The school is housed in buildings just north of the city centre with a third site in a stunning new building Sixth Form building in Summertown that has just been completed over the last few months, ready for the September term. It’s absolutely state-of-the-art – part Victorian villa, part 21st century glass and concrete. The old Sixth Form building (now used for overseas students) was one of those typical red brick mansions on the Banbury Road, and no longer big enough to house a Sixth Form that has expanded from a mere handful in 1977 to the 260 Sixth Form pupils it has today.

A levels at the Sixth Form
Our teaching style is predicated on highly interactive classes in which students are actively engaged throughout. Our maximum class size in the Sixth Form is 10 - except in science subjects, where the maximum is 8.
Working with relatively small groups means that we can teach and run our classes in the way that we like to. We want to be able to teach to each individual student in the class; we want to encourage questioning, debate and evaluative, critical thinking; and we want students to engage actively with the material, to hear, and to offer, alternative points of view.
