Heather Gillin Residence is home to all Ashbury's female boarding students. The Heather Gillin residence, located at the northwest corner of the campus, provides a warm and comfortable living space for 50 young women, Grades 9 to 12, and five female residential staff, including our Director of Student and Residential Life, Ms. Danielle Mitra. A full kitchen provides the opportunity to share time together and allows our students to experience the international flavours that roommates might wish to prepare for friends from around the world. This two-story residence was completed in 2007 and contains 18 single rooms and 16 double rooms, each containing private ensuite bathrooms. All girls have access to common areas with flat screen televisions, exercise equipment, games and study rooms and ample storage space. This state-of-the-art facility has full wireless internet connections and, in conjunction with the boys' residence, is home to students representing over 30 countries.
Matthews House, the new boys residence is situated on the north east corner of the campus. It is home to 50 male boarding students This residence has two floors with a variety of single and double occupancy rooms. Some rooms look out over the front grounds of the campus and others have a courtyard view. The boys have full access to a common space that boasts a flat screen television, foosball and pool tables, a games room, study room and weight training area in addition to a spacious and bright kitchen. All their meals are prepared for them in Maclaren Hall, our dining facility. University placements. Ashbury College has had a 100% university placement rate for the last 12 years. This year, 83% of graduates were admitted to their first choice university.
