Founded in 1911, Appleby College’s mission is to educate and enable young men and women to become leaders of character, major contributors to, and valued representatives of their local, national, and international communities.
Appleby inspires its 750 students from grades 7 to 12 to pursue their individual passions through an internationally recognized and innovative academic, athletic, and co-curricular program. More than 90 dedicated and inspirational faculty; nine with
doctorates and an additional 40 with other graduate degrees.
All Appleby students must attain their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze
award before graduating.
Appleby students must complete a minimum of 100 hours of
community service upon graduation. Since 1997 Appleby has been at the forefront of international service
with students participating in international service projects to over a
dozen countries. Over 100 students take part each year.
The Appleby Arts program encompasses a wide variety of classes and
co-curriculars including dance, drama, music, theatre, and visual arts.
The Appleby College Diploma with Distinction in Global Leadership
recognizes the efforts and achievements of students who are
committed to global citizenship and education.
Each year, Appleby students are required to participate in three terms
of co-curriculars including athletics, arts and service. HE APPLEBY COLLEGE
A minimum of 25 hours of service per year for a total of at least 100 hours over four years.
Two French credits and one additional credit in a third language (German, Spanish, Arabic
Science, math and social sciences until the end of Grade 11.
Students are required to complete the Bronze award of the Duke of Edinburgh program.
They are strongly encouraged to complete the Silver and Gold requirements as well.
All senior students are required to live in boarding during their final year.
